Ilteris Oney is an extremely dedicated colleague to both local and global training, education and customer service strategies and needs. As I am the lead for GS1’s Global Training and Customer Services strategy at the Global Office, I have seen many examples of his talent and have long been impressed by his diligence and work ethic. I understand that Ilteris is a believer in continuous learning and has built on his Masters in Computer Science to complement this expertise with business skills.
Ilteris has outstanding organizational and networking skills. I have
witnessed this in his ability to understand simple and complex project
structures and then moving on to build the necessary networks and
links in order to leverage technical and political stakeholders to
bring the project to a close. He is able to successfully complete
multiple tasks with favourable results despite deadline pressure.
As part of a training think tank, Ilteris is an active participant
and has been instrumental in the past year to influence the Global
Training and Customer service strategy at a global level gaining the
respect of business and technical experts alike. This is evident in
his ability to specialise in DataBar and DataMatrix (these technologies
are components of the GS1BarCode standard and are a key element in
GS1’s global strategy). In view of this he is recognised as a GS1
System Expert.
I must also make note of Ilteris’s deep knowledge not only of customer
service and training matters but also of her subject matter expertise
as it relates to the GS1 standards. To this effect he is considered
as a Supply Chain Management and Surveys leader by many members of
the GS1 community. His skills fit well within a service department
and are being used to support our Global Office and our affiliates
across the globe.

The purpose of this is to provide a character reference for Mr. Lutfi ilteris ONEY whom I have known as a classmate and friend for a period of ten years.
I first met ilteris in our freshman year at Baskent University. We
were both studying a computer science program there and became acquainted
through a number of common classes that we shared. By second year,
we had become close friends and decided to be a project partner in
every course we took.
Accordingly, having gotten to know ilteris so well over the past years, I believe puts me in a position to provide you with a pretty accurate assessment of his character.
As a student, ilteris was a hard-working and highly committed to his
education. I believe that his excellent transcripts will attest to
that fact. In addition, he was quite involved in a number of extra-curricular
activities including the preperation of graduate CD. Outgoing, and
always willing to help someone out, ilteris was very popular with
his fellow students.
As a friend, ilteris Oney is a standout. He is a loyal, honest, considerate, and supportive individual who has the ability to see and understand things from another person's perspective. He is a great direct communicator and knows how to raise and discuss common living issues and problems in a non-threatening manner. I was quite impressed by ilteris' ability to complete all work assigned to him on time, if not before it was due. His work was always thorough and comprehensive. We sometimes allow our managers to do some testing, but ilteris' talents prompted us to assign him more pieces than the norm. His understanding of system and standards principles are very good for someone this new to the line.
Overall, ilteris is a very conscientious and able employee. I certainly believe he has what it takes to make a good CEO someday, and I am sad to see him leave. I strongly recommend ilteris for any upper management position.
